Fort Lincoln has a good number of newer homes for sale. Many of the homes in this area are actually much more modern, being built as recently as the 60′s and 70′s, and even a several listings being built more recently than that.
This area is rich in civil war history, as it was one of the outpost forts that were set to protect that nations capitol. The fort still stands, and is a great place for public visitors.
Located just across from Maryland, the boundaries of Fort Lincoln are Bladensburg Road to the northwest, Eastern Avenue to the northeast, New York Avenue NE to the south, and South Dakota Avenue NE to the southwest. The town of Colmar Manor, Maryland, is across Eastern Avenue from the Fort Lincoln neighborhood, as is the Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
