Shepherd Park sits at the very top of Washington DC. This area is an upper and middle class area of DC with great selection of real estate. There are several prominent individuals who live in this area.
One of the defining features of Shepherd Park are the names of the streets. You’ll know when you arrive in this area because the streets are named from a variety of different growing flowers, trees, and shrubs. The reason being, is the resident who the area was named after had a nursery which is responsible for some 60,000 Washington DC trees, and a variety of wildflowers which still adorn the yards of many who live here.
The borders of Shepherd Park are Eastern Avenue NW, which divides Shepherd Park from Silver Spring, Maryland, to the south by Walter Reed Hospital, at the east by Georgia Avenue NW, and the west by 16th Street NW.
